What have you been up to since graduation?:
Married the first time in 1968. Divorced in 1989. Bio/foster/adoption in between while working for Dept of the Air Force at Andrews and Secretary of the Air Force at the Pentagon. Got my RN in 1983, BSN in 1989, MS/Nursing in 1993. Worked ICU, ER/Trauma, Agency Critical Care, taught nursing at AACC, PGCC, UMBC and FKCC; nurse educator at PGHC and CIVISTA Med Center; rode a critical care transport ambulance with two really great paramedics. Remarried in 1993. Moved from Calvert County Maryland in 2000 to the Florida Keys to open a, group home for adults with developmental disabilities and haven't seen snow since!!!! We retired (ha, ha, ha) in 2013 closing the group home and taking three clients to live with us. Then we exchanged houses with our good friends; 7 br/5bath to 2 1/2 br 2 bath. And as of July 2015 we are back at the old house (7 br/5 baths). We are NEVER moving again unless its to a nice comfy urn.
3/20/2017 So I lied. We moved again. This time we sold the big house (7 br/5 bath) and moved temporarily to a rental in Key Largo. The plan is to build a handicapped friendly house on a lot we own across the street from the big house. We are still waiting plans, permits, mortgages, etc. But, really, this is the last move.
Well we rode out Irma in Maryland and returned to our "bird house" in good shape. All of the trees and alot of fence were down. Work on our new house is moving along at a good clip. Hope to be in by mid March. The new house is technically an addition to the tiny fishing cottage that we're living in now. New house is 3 times the size of the birdhouse. New house 3 bedrooms each with its own bathroom. All ADA. Can't wait. Moved into new house in May 2018.
Son, Kyle, married August 14, 2020. Wonderful DIL, Rebecca and grand daughters River and Wren
We had all of our vaccinations, wore masks and stayed home a lot and still got Covid in early Sep 2021. Recovered at home except for my ward, Rebecca, who did a stint in the ICU. Fortunately she is home now.
