Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to follow up from our Crab Feast yesterday. We all hope that Tom J. is feeling better today. Our prayers are with him.

Our November luncheon will be back to Mount Airy. This year we will be moving the date to the first Wednesday of November, the 4th. We felt that with Veterans day on the 11th, the normal 2nd Wednesday would not be convenient. That, and the fact that Thanksgiving is just around the corner, we felt the move would be best.

This year we will be going back to Main Street Mount Airy. We'll be dining at the Upper Deck Restaurant. We've eaten there before but, not for the last three years. There have been a couple of new shops open on our old Main Street. There are two new or redecorated Gift Shops and a new Chocolate Shop. Rhebb's Chocolates opened last summer and has become a landmark on Main. The shop began in downtown Baltimore many years ago an has now opened a location in Mount Airy. Bring your sweet tooth. I'm also going to open our Rail Road Museum for you all to tour. We have redone about half of the Museum with displays telling of the roll of Mount Airy during the Civil War. We spent three years gathering all the information and artifacts for these presentations. These new displays will only be in the museum until the end of 2026. 

The Upper Deck is located at 237 South Main Street Mount Airy 21771. The restaurant has it's own parking lot and is in the middle of the down town area. The shops and stores are all within three small blocks.
