What a group we have been! Hard to believe it’s been 60 years since we walked down the aisle at Maryland U and across the stage to get our diplomas. At that moment we were mostly concerned with getting to the parties that night to celebrate our graduation.
We all had dreams and ambitions in our future. Some went to college, started jobs, married, created families and continued to create our life’s paths.
There are many of us that have become close friends with classmates we only knew by name back in the halls of OHHS. I for one, am so very thankful for the wonderful journey through the years. Even though I’m in Arizona I feel fortunate that we are able to stay in touch with each other through the many social means and our many events.
With a lump in my throat I am announcing our 60th and final reunion.
I am sure we will continue the monthly luncheons, Taylor Crab Feasts, and other small gatherings. The OHHS ’65 classmates won’t just fade away. However, putting on an organized large gathering is coming to an end.
Let’s make this reunion one that will be remembered by all. Everyone is invited. If you haven’t attended an event before, please consider attending this one. It would be great to see faces that we haven’t seen for 60 (ugh) years.
Dates – October 16th – 19th, 2025 – Dinner/dance on October 18th
Come for all the days or just a few – the choice is yours.
Dress is casual. Just remember the photographers will be out and about.

Thursday is Scotty’s – next to the hotel
Friday night – Sundown Sport Pub
Saturday – Our 60th dinner/dance
Sunday – to be announced
Who is up for another round of Mini Golf on Saturday. Let us know so we can plan it.
Who want to bring their clubs and get a tee time? Let us know is you are interested so we can get it set up.
Entertainment 7pm to 10pm
The Fabulous Fish Heads will be playing tunes for the night from 7pm to 10pm. We have listened and danced to their music many times while in Surfside. They are a fun group.
The Fabulous Fish Heads have been playing in the Myrtle Beach area for the last 14 years. They play a wide variety of dance music ranging from classic rock, funk, country and oldies. They will keep you dancing and singing along to every song.
Dinner – will begin at 6:00 pm
The Bar-B-Cue House will be serving our dinner, which will include bbq pulled pork, bbq ribs, bbq chicken, mac n cheese, potato salad, hush puppies and cole slaw. Sweet and unsweetened tea and water will be provided.
It is BYOB and your set ups.

Arrangements have been made with the hotel for discounted rates for our group.
Please call the hotel directly to receive the discounted rates. The discounted rate will be held until October 1st. There is a 2-night minimum stay required.

This is for 2 Queen bed room that features a private Juliette Balcony with seating for two and side views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Other types of rooms are available but not at this discounted rate.
On the hotel website there is a “surf cam” showing the new pier on the north side of the hotel.
